Bronwen O'Byrne

Personal statement

Bronwen joined us in September 2021 and works principally on our Business and Management Programme.

Currently, she leads on one of our core modules for first year undergraduates, Professional Practice. This module looks at personal professional development and what university can contribute to students' developing personal brand.

She also leads a second year undergraduate module, Pathways, which in a similar vein is really career focused. She has previously taught on leadership development, project management and design thinking.

Bronwen was quite late to teaching in higher education and uses more than 30 years' management experience across a range of organisations and sectors to inform her teaching practice.

Bronwen's interests are around the psychology of the individual, teams and organisations. She has a strong focus on leadership styles.
