Celebrating Entrepreneurship at BSU

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s becoming increasingly more common for working professionals to carve their own path in the industry. Starting your own business, building a self-made concept from the ground up, or becoming a freelancer, is a popular route for many after graduation.

That’s why this week, we’re celebrating all things entrepreneurial at BSU. We’ll be highlighting some key stories about our students, staff and alumni who have gone on to start their own successful businesses, as well as how we emphasize entrepreneurship throughout our courses here.

We believe that the road to starting your own business, brand or product can be taken in many ways, which is why we equip our students with the skills and resources they need to tackle any challenge that comes their way. It is our aim that our students graduate with the confidence, curiosity and professional creativity they need to be the innovators of the modern world.

Here, we’ve highlighted a few of our courses that are designed to prepare you for a long career as a successful entrepreneur.

You need look no further than our specially curated BA (Hons) Business and Management (Entrepreneurship) pathway to learn all the skills you need to succeed as an independent professional in the corporate world.

With a curriculum that teaches you how to build a successful business from the ground up, paired with hands-on experience, networking events and work placements, you’ll graduate ready to begin your own entrepreneurial journey. We take a practical approach to teaching business, focusing on the core skills you need to succeed in the real world, and granting you the opportunities to run your own events, find key work placements, and collaborate with both local and national businesses.

You’ll share ideas not only with other Business School students, but with students across the University from a range of creative courses, reflecting the reality of working with freelancers in the industry.

BA (Hons) Graphic Design

Teaching entrepreneurial skills isn’t restricted to our Business courses here at BSU. We believe that everyone, no matter their discipline, should leave university with a skillset that allows them to thrive in whatever direction they take. That’s why our BA (Hons) Graphic Design course is a great choice for those who wish to prosper as a successful freelance graphic designer, prepared to take on any creative challenge thrown their way.

Our BA (Hons) Acting course will teach those interested in the dramatic arts not only how to become a strong, versatile and technically-skilled actor, but also how to take an entrepreneurial approach to the industry.
