January Open Day 2024

Our upcoming Open Day may be fully booked, but there's still plenty to get excited about if you're thinking of coming to visit us

We’re fully booked for our first Open Day of 2024! This weekend, Saturday 13 January, excited students will travel to our Newton Park and Locksbrook campuses to get a taste of life at Bath Spa University.

For many, this will be the first time visiting your soon-to-be new home. From studying to socialising, a brand-new chapter is about to begin...let’s make it the best one yet.

Why book an Open Day?

Bath Spa Open Days help potential students to get a feel for the University and whether it’s the right fit. These events are so popular they're often fully booked weeks in advance.

With so many options to choose from, it might be tricky to decide which path to take. Attending an Open Day can help you think about your future and compare your options – so you come away feeling confident in your choice.

BA (Hons) in Creative Writing and MA in Environmental Humanities graduate, Indigo Moon, explained how attending an Open Day was essential to her decision. Indigo described how she felt at home, inspired by the vibrant study spaces and picture-perfect landscape:

“When I attended an open day at Bath Spa University, I felt like I was home. Everything felt familiar; the landscape, the people, the wildlife, the atmosphere. It was a profound experience. I felt inspired by lecturers’ passion and enthusiasm for their craft, and the confidence in which they spoke about the quality of teaching in the Creative Writing department.”

What to think about before coming to an Open Day

Before attending an Open Day, you’ll have the choice to book onto a morning or an afternoon session. You’ll then be provided with an info pack and timetable of events to help make the most of your visit.

On the day

From course talks to campus tours, there’s so much to do. Kicking off the with a Welcome Talk, you’ll be introduced to Bath Spa by the people who know it best; you’ll have the chance to talk with students and staff who are part of your chosen course.

Questions about student life? Our friendly team of student ambassadors will be on hand throughout the day to give you an insight into what being a Bath Spa student is really like. Our ambassadors will also be leading campus tours where you can explore our stunning grounds and state-of-the-art facilities.

Moving to university can feel daunting. For many of our students, it’ll be the first time living away from families and friends. Bath Spa has a range of support available to ease students into university life – from wellbeing and finance advice to support securing accommodation and part-time work.

We have a range of accommodation for you to explore. With options both on and off campus, our halls of residence all have something unique to offer. You can find out more about your options by taking the tour, led by our student ambassadors.
