When you dial 999, an operator will ask you which service you require. If you need to call 999 but talking on the phone will put you or others at further risk, you can make a silent call.

NHS 111

Urgent medical problem? Not sure what to do? Call 111 for medical advice – it’s free from mobiles and landlines.

This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also visit NHS 111 online.
