Sanctuary scholarship
Financial support for students from refugee and asylum-seeking communities.
Equality, diversity and inclusion are essential to building the creative, innovative and nurturing ethos that we pride ourselves on. As part of our commitment to inclusion, we will be annually awarding a Sanctuary Scholarship to students from refugee and asylum-seeking communities.
What's included
The 2024/25 Sanctuary Scholarship includes:
- An annual bursary of up to £2,000 for the duration of the undergraduate or postgraduate programme of study as a contribution towards study costs.
- A tuition fee waiver to cover tuition fees for the duration of the undergraduate or postgraduate programme of study.
The Sanctuary Scholarship is awarded at the sole discretion of Bath Spa University.
Criteria
Applications are welcomed from individuals seeking asylum in the UK, refugees, and those individuals in the UK under the government’s Homes for Ukraine Scheme and the Ukraine Family Scheme.
- All applicants must have applied to study their first undergraduate degree or postgraduate degree at Bath Spa University for 2024/25 entry.
- Conditional and unconditional offer holders will be considered for the scholarship.
- All applicants must be residing in the UK when applying for the scholarship. The successful candidate must live in the UK for the duration of the undergraduate programme of study.
- The terms and conditions outline further details on the eligibility criteria. The Sanctuary Scholarship is awarded at the sole discretion of Bath Spa University.
