Applying for tuition fee loans

Undergraduate and PGCE students

If you're a UK student you may be able to borrow money to help pay for university tuition fees and to help with living costs by means of a student loan. The student loan system is there to make sure everyone who would benefit from university is able to do so. Further information is available.

Postgraduate students

If you're a UK student a Postgraduate Master’s Loan can help with course fees and living costs while you study a postgraduate master’s course. Find out more about the Postgraduate funding system and how the loan works.

Please note that the University is required to share confirmation of your student status and attendance with loan providers in order for the loan provider to administer your funding. Please see privacy notices for students and applicants for further information.

Bath Spa have partnered with Blackbullion, the ultimate destination for students to master money management. 

Blackbullion is an easy-to-use digital learning platform that can help you be smart with money and take control of your financial future.

It’s filled with videos, articles, quizzes, and tools covering a range of financial subjects, including topics such as getting money-ready for university, student life, budgeting, saving, earning and investing. 

You can also create a personalised learning plan and search for additional sources of funding that may be available to you and more.

You can register for free if you’re an applicant, a current student, staff member or a recent graduate of Bath Spa University.  Simply sign up with your bathspa.ac.uk email on their website. Alternatively, you can register in the app (search ‘Blackbullion’ in the App Store or Google Play Store).
