Global Citizenship Programme

Get a fresh perspective by working towards the Global Citizenship Award, alongside studying for your undergraduate degree. The programme includes lectures and seminars given by internationally renowned speakers. Home and EU students will undertake an international placement and are eligible for a £1,000 Global Citizenship Scholarship.

This is an extra-curricular course that you have to apply for during the first week of term.

Combined degree options

As well as offering specialist, single honours degrees, many of our undergraduate programmes can be studied as part of a combined award. What does that mean? If you don’t want to limit yourself to just one undergraduate programme, we’ll let you combine two.

Add a teaching qualification

Don’t have a degree and know you want to be a teacher? Apply for our primary teaching pathway or secondary teaching pathway – you’ll move straight onto our ofsted outstanding rated PGCE once you’ve finished your undergraduate studies.

Earn while you learn

School Direct

Be part of a school team from day one with School Direct. Open to high quality graduates, you may be eligible for a bursary or scholarship. Or, if you have at least three years’ work experience, you could even earn a salary while you train.

Teach First

Got leadership potential? Teach First combines teacher training and a fully-funded PGCE with one-to-one coaching. You’ll develop the skills and qualities to be an inspirational teacher.

Alternative pathways

Foundation degrees

We work with partner colleges to provide foundation degree courses. You’ll have the option of applying for a third year of study to "top-up" to an associated honours degree if you do well on your course.

Non-standard applications

Don’t have A-levels? Don’t panic. We have a number of different entry routes. You may be able to secure a place on one of our courses with your experience or previous qualifications.

Mature student entry

Thinking of returning to education after a break from studying? You'll be in good company – many of our students are mature students. You don't have to have traditional qualifications such as A-levels to be a student here, we have lots of different entry routes.

Professional Masters’ Programme (PMP)

Our PMP is a flexible MA level programme with various routes for busy education professionals.
