Wondering if we have the right facilities for you? We are confident we’ve got you covered. We have workshops in digital production, paint, metalwork, sculpture, silkscreen etching and lithography, woodwork, book and print, audio visual, photography, life drawing, ceramics, plastics, 3D printing, and textiles.
The tools you need
We’re bursting at the seams with a mixture of unusual, historic and state-of-the-art equipment. There’s far too much to list on one page, so be prepared for an overwhelming amount of creative possibility.

Most art and design students are assigned a dedicated studio space – this depends on which course you’re studying. In our experience no two spaces are the same and this creates a dynamic and exciting studio environment.

Adobe Creative Campus
As an Adobe Creative Campus, all Bath Spa students have access to the entire Adobe Creative Suite of elite industry-leading apps, including Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Express and more.
With the ability to amplify your digital fluency from the moment you join Bath Spa, you’ll have the space to develop a wealth of indispensable skills to help you in your studies, and in the world of work.

Wunderkammer Press
Wunderkammer Press is a different kind of publishing venture. It operates within Bath School of Art and Design and publishes the exciting, the curious and the thought-provoking.
Chinese printing press
A set of Chinese lead letterpress and trays, thought to be the last set cast in lead, was donated to Bath Spa University in 2016. Gifted to Bath School of Art and Design by RiXing Type Foundry in Taipei, Taiwan, the 48 trays and 10,000 lead characters are used for teaching and promoting Chinese culture.
