We Make Podcasts is a series of podcast pilots on a variety of subjects, in collaboration with external partners who are specialists in their own field.
We Make Podcasts is a collaborative venture that has a dual purpose: to work with Bath Spa academics to help them create podcasts that reflect upon their own research, and also to gain insight into subjects relevant to young people now.
As a medium, podcasting is a fast-growing and accessible platform that enables us to reach into the wider communities of Bath and Bristol and help them to tell their personal stories in an informal and intimate way. This is the beauty of podcasting as a form of communication.
The interviews are led by academics from The Centre for Media Research, engaging the listener on subjects such as infertility and independent cinema, as well as demystifying more complex research ideas.
(In)fertility in the media
(In)fertility in the Media is a conversation between women about how the the process of becoming (or not becoming) a mother is displayed in popular culture – from film and television to advertising, social media and blogs.
Tell Me About... is a podcast series where young people share stories about subjects that matter to them now. You can also watch these interviews on Youtube.
