Upcoming events
The next doing together symposium will take place on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 April 2025 at Locksbrook Campus.
Tickets will be released in January 2025, and the full programme will be announced in February 2025.
doing together is a yearly two-day making and sharing practice symposium at Locksbrook Campus, hosted by the Art Research Centre (Bath School of Art, Film and Media) in collaboration with Bath School of Design and the Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries.
Workshops, delivered by staff and postgraduate students from across the University, share practice-based research methods and a broad range of approaches to practice. doing together is proposed as a generous space to make/do/share and discuss practice with colleagues from a range of different Schools.
Throughout the symposium, facilitators – alongside participants – test out ways of doing together in an effort to make their practice-based research explicit, rather than simply describe it.
doing together has taken the place of the Issues in Creative Practice Research yearly symposium.
doing together also maintains a cross-disciplinary reading list relevant to creative practice research, which will be updated each year throughout the symposium.
