Course studied: BA (Hons) Theatre Production
Graduating year: 2018

After graduating from Bath Spa University with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Theatre Production, I have been working consistently on an array of different and exciting projects. These have ranged from national and international musical tours, West End productions, and live events including Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. My first role post-graduation was as a touring assistant electrician on Evita the musical. This experience allowed me to apply what I learned at Bath Spa University to real-world scenarios. I gained invaluable hands-on experience working in theatre, but the practical training and collaborative projects at Bath Spa University proved to be a strong foundation for this.

In the world of theatre I have worked in various roles, most recently as Head of Lighting on Peter Pan at the London Palladium and the National Theatre’s Ocean at the End of the Lane in the West End. These roles pushed me to develop my creativity and my leadership skills, surrounded by world-class artists and technicians.

One of the notable highlights of my career has been my involvement in Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. In order to facilitate intricate stage designs and seamless production logistics, my role required meticulous attention to detail and an understanding of the complexities involved in executing such a massive event. You can actually spot me featured in Renaissance: a film by Beyoncé.

I've also worked on iconic events like Glastonbury Festival and MDLBeast Soundstorm in Saudi Arabia, and have toured with artists including Judas Priest, Panic! at the Disco, and Green Day. What I love about these projects is not just about the technical aspects but also about relationships and teamwork that make such large-scale events possible.

I am so grateful for the education and experiences I gained at Bath Spa University. The supportive community, dedicated professors, and practical training provided a strong foundation for my professional growth. My time at Bath Spa was not just about academic learning; it was about preparing for the real world, building lasting relationships, and discovering my passion for theatre production.
