Personal statement

Stephen is Global Director of Acquisitions and Vendor Operations at Google, helping people and companies make the most of technology. He is responsible for operations in over 55 different markets around the world and specialises in strategy development, operational excellence and working with extended workforces and third-party partnerships.

Stephen has spent the last decade at Google and held several roles including Head of Business Acquisitions Australia, New Zealand and India where he was responsible for establishing the first teams for Google in these countries. He was later appointed Sales Strategy lead across the Asia Pacific region, responsible for the execution and monetisation of a number of key strategic programs. In 2014, Stephen moved from Australia to the UK to lead business operations across Southern Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 2018 Stephen was appointed Director.

Prior to Google, Stephen has had over twenty years of Executive Management experience within the advertising and digital media industries. Through multiple roles, Stephen has shown strong adaptability across countries, regions and roles with a successful track record for driving business growth, change management and process engineering within fast changing environments.

Stephen lives in London, near the Thames, with his wife and three student children, and being Australian is still adapting to the weather in the UK.
