Personal statement
Sam is a video artists and filmmaker with a professional background in post production, motion graphics and visual effects.
He currently leads modules in single camera drama and documentary offering experiential practical production at level 4. He also runs two digital effects modules at level 5 offering practice based animation, motion graphics and visual effects.
Sam's ongoing research project explores the intermedial links between painting and moving image, combining historical painting and visual effects to make new media work for exhibition. He has particular interests in paintings and new media work which explore the landscape and the concept of the pastoral.
