Personal statement

Polly is a Lecturer for Business and Management with a particularly keen interest in the arts industries and cultural partnerships. Coming from a dance, and a health and wellbeing background, she has several years experience of freelancing, advising individuals on business growth and consulting on strategy to enable small businesses to grow and become more secure. She is a Chartered Manager and makes efforts to stay connected and informed of grass-roots organisations to help inform her teaching and research.

Polly enjoys enabling students to discover their own strengths and confidence, so that they feel ready to join the world of business and grow their own networks. Modules of teaching include Professional Practice, Successful Freelancing and Innovation Management. She is also the Placement Co-ordinator and Professional Development tutor for the MA Arts Management and the MA Heritage Management.
