Personal statement
Lorraine is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education and teaches on the MA Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice course as well as being Module Lead for Counselling, Ethics and the Law.
Lorraine has over 23 years of clinical psychotherapeutic practice experience and has taught, trained and supervised nationally in the United Kingdom and Ireland and internationally including on humanitarian projects in Poland, Greece and the Middle East.
She is a former President of the EMDR Association UK and Ireland, a former advisor to the Board of newly formed EMDR All-Ireland and a founding member of the Global Initiative for Stress and Trauma Treatment (GIST-T). Lorraine is research active and published in the field.
