Personal statement
Joy was born and raised in Bath. She started her accountancy career at PwC in Bristol, supporting a variety of clients in the banking and not-for-profit sector with finance and transformational change projects. She's also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
After several years in this sector, Joy moved into the not-for-profit world where she was the Chief Executive Officer of Integrity Action (2011-2016), a UK-based INGO that built integrity and resilience in some of the world’s most challenging settings. For her transformative role at Integrity Action, she was awarded the Institute of Directors' Director of the Year in the South East award (2013), for demonstrating increased impact and operational effectiveness within the third sector.
Joy is now a management consultant with a passion for helping organisations, particularly charities, be effective and achieve impact at scale. With a particular focus on setting effective organisational strategies and a specialism of improving financial processes and controls, Joy relies on her accountancy qualification to deliver her portfolio of projects. Joy is Deputy Chair of the Board, and sits on our Audit , Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
