Personal statement

Adam is a lecturer in Conservation and Environment at Bath Spa University’s School of Sciences. He is an accomplished higher education practitioner with over a decade of experience in the sector, specialising in wildlife conservation, animal behaviour, ecology and the environment. Holding a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Management, an MSc in Animal Behaviour, and a PhD in Ecology and Environment, Adam has built a career that blends a passion for wildlife conservation and environmental science with a deep commitment to education.

Adam’s PhD research focused on the restoration of saltmarsh ecosystems, specifically exploring ecological succession and environmental parameters on a newly created coastal habitat. He has a keen interest in habitat restoration and biodiversity conservation, with a particular interest in coastal wetland ecosystems.

Throughout his academic career, Adam has lectured at various levels, delivering sessions in animal behaviour, ecology, wildlife conservation, and environmental practice. Adam is known for his dedication to student success, and he has mentored numerous students, helping them achieve academic and professional growth. His practical experience in fieldwork and research provides students with valuable insights into wildlife conservation and environmental management.
