BSU Short Courses offer new opportunities in the New Year

Tuesday, 12 November, 2024

With the start of a New Year, you may be encouraged to enhance your career, develop an existing hobby, or discover a new one. BSU’s Short Course Unit offers a diverse range of short courses designed to fit into any busy lifestyle. These courses can be the perfect way to continue education, without committing to a long-term degree.

The short courses on offer are a mix of self-funded and funded by the government. From creative arts to business management, there is something for everyone.

Designed in collaboration with external partners such as TechSPARK and Transform Digital, the courses allow individuals to learn from industry professionals and understand what skills may be required in their chosen sector.  If you’re starting your own business, our short courses can enable you to reach a wider client base and expand the range of services your business can offer.

Hannah Whiting, Head of Business Development commented:

“Over the past year we’ve developed a series of innovative short courses in a range of subjects, that have helped over 200 BSU alumni and residents pursue their interests. We’re excited to continue to develop courses with colleagues within the University, and our cultural partners.”

The range of short courses provided by our team were developed based on skills gaps and demand. Each course lasts from a couple of days to a few weeks and offer a wide range of learning opportunities that will build your confidence and achievements, expand your skills portfolio and give you a clear start for future career goals.
