BSU books: A Christmas shopping list for book lovers
Friday, 6 December, 2024The festive season is upon us, which means it’s time to start thinking about presents! We think books make wonderful gifts, no matter the time of year, but they’re especially great for the holiday season. Who doesn’t love to cosy up with a hot drink and a good book on a cold winter’s night?
First things first: we’d be remiss if we didn’t recommend Orbital by Samantha Harvey, Reader in English and Creative Writing and the winner of this year’s Booker Prize. Recognised unanimously by the judging panel for its ‘beauty and ambition’, the novel has earned a place underneath anyone’s tree.
Here’s a round-up of all the other books that have made us #BathSpaProud this year. We think any of these would make great gifts for the book lovers on your list.
