Catching up with Bath Spa University London

BSUL unveils Adobe mural at their Hackney Campus
In 2022, Bath Spa University proudly became one of the UK’s first Adobe Creative Campuses, providing students and staff access to top-tier graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography software. Since then, the BSU community has fully embraced Adobe’s offerings, including the opportunity to design a mural for the entrance of BSUL.
The mural was designed by student Vindya Athkoralalage, using the Adobe suite. Inspired to participate by Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Management, Jaganath Karki, Vindya reflected the theme, ‘What does Adobe and Bath Spa London mean to you?’ in her work.
BSUL hosts leadership panel discussion
In November, BSUL celebrated the success of its ‘Building your career portfolio’ event – an engaging panel discussion with CEO of Zamco Recruitment, Sheldon Merriman, BSU Academic, Dr. Dejan Ljubojevic, BSU Employability Coach, Jenny Williams, and chair, Course Director Partnership and Development, Dr. Achila Amarasinge.
During the event, students gained valuable insights into crafting standout CVs, identifying their personal strengths, and utilising university resources to gain a competitive edge in the job market.
Developing skills with BSUL interactive leadership workshop
This interactive event was designed to help break down barriers for students. It was led by Professor Osman Khan, an expert in leadership with extensive experience advising the Financial Times Stock Exchange 50 and Fortune 500 companies.
Participants engaged in discussions and hands-on activities to refine their leadership styles and skills.
BSUL hosts vibrant food festival for Black History Month
Bath Spa University London hosted a vibrant food festival as part of Black History Month, which runs from 1 – 31 October each year.
The event was catered by Leon’s Den Kitchen, renowned for their exquisite Caribbean cuisine with a global twist and brought staff and students together to highlight the importance of cultural diversity and inclusion within the University community.
