The University has also developed a Digital Sustainability Action Plan to support its commitment to sustainability and has introduced an award-winning staff benefits portal, a new recruitment portal and improved processes and access to equipment for students and staff.
By participating in Jisc's Digital Transformation Framework Pilot, BSU has propelled its Digital Fluency initiative for both students and staff too, fostering collaboration at both institutional and sector-wide levels.
Rachael Johnson-Duval, Chief Information Officer at BSU, said:
"I'm delighted that BSU has been shortlisted for this award; it's a real testament to all the hard work put in by colleagues in IT Services and across the University. Digital Transformation is a community endeavour, and one that really demonstrates how we live our values in working together on our journey of improving the student and staff experience."
BSU is nominated alongside Heriot-Watt University, Nottingham Trent University, University of Chester and University of Strathclyde. The winner will be announced at an Awards Dinner in Brighton on Wednesday 19 March.
