Komedia Bath: Free Music Festival
Friday 24 March, 2023 – Friday 24 March, 20235:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Komedia Bath
In partnership with Bath Spa University, Komedia Bath is proud to present a series of free music festivals showcasing the best in live local music.
Featuring several awesome bands across two stages, this mini-festival will run from 5:45 pm – 10 pm and is open to all ages (with those under 16’s to be accompanied by an adult).
This family-friendly festival will be held four times a year, bringing regular and accessible music to the community and giving local bands a chance to perform on one of Bath’s biggest stages.
Working alongside community groups and networks, we intend to reach those pockets of the community with less access to culture and music. The event will showcase the best of Bath Spa University talent and give all important performance opportunities to emerging talent in our area.
Tickets are FREE with the option to Pay-What-You want in aid of Julian House.
We recommend booking a ticket in advance to guarantee entry at what we’re sure will be a bustling event. In addition, a small booking fee will be incurred on advanced tickets.
This is a standing event, but seating will be available on the balcony on a first-come, first-served basis. Festival food will be available all evening.
Line up
Playing in various groups before coming together as a three-piece at the start of 2011 are Twins (Timothy Water and William Water) and elder brother (Ollie Water). Prepare for love, for hate, for past, for present. Prepare for a story of persistence, resistance and a bond too strong to break. Prepare for the Family, prepare for Rain.
The Fuzz-Riddled and Thunderous Brother Duo return to the stage to celebrate 10 years since the release of their debut album ‘Blue Lips’.
DEMPSEYS are a five-piece indie pop band from Bristol founded by frontman Charlie Dempsey. Colliding the unfeigned lyricism of Lewis Capaldi with the anthemic overtones of Kings Of Leon – DEMPSEYS engineer a soundscape fuelled by emotion and storytelling. Shaping the soundtrack to your quiet cross – country train journeys or the explosive echo of a festival memory through the contemporary narrative of Charlie’s lyricism. A modern sketch of generational favourites.
James’ Room is a rock band based in Bath/Bristol, fusing atmospheric soundscapes with crunching riffs and a pounding rhythm section. This can be heard on their released material, which takes inspiration from U2, Radiohead and Queens of The Stone Age. Live, you can expect of raw energy and blaring guitars, coupled with a real, tangible connection between band and audience.
Based in South Devon, brothers Zak and Olly Zaffiro have been writing and performing together for several years. With an instinctive style, Zak’s catchy guitar licks and Olly’s dynamic grooves create a unique sound which combine genres in an unusual and exciting way.
