Femininities: a fine art student exhibition

Wednesday 28 February, 2018 – Sunday 4 March, 2018
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Sion Hill Gallery, Bath Spa University Sion Hill Campus, Bath, BA1 5SF

An exhibition by three fine art students, celebrating representations of femininity, opens in Sion Hill Gallery on Tuesday 27 February.

To celebrate the suffragette movement and the centenary of the Representation of the People Act, our three artists take the opportunity to examine the ups and downs of feminism in 2018, analysing through creative practice what femininity means to them.

Largely inspired by their everyday conversations and experience, Elle Guest, Saffron Ewart and Tove Barnes aim to create a conversation about what femininity represents today. Through knitting, painting and drawing, the exhibition looks at feminism in a light-hearted manner, celebrating women’s day to day lives.

The exhibition opens with a preview evening on Tuesday 27 February (5 to 7pm) and continues until 4 March (10am to 5pm daily).
