BEMSCA (Bath Ethnic Minority Senior Citizen Association) Focus Groups

Wednesday 19 October, 2022 – Wednesday 19 October, 2022
11:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Main House MH.111, Newton Park Campus

Part of our event series for Black History Month 2022.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the mental and physical health and wellbeing of everyone. We had to get used to social distancing rules, adapt many everyday activities, have our studies disrupted as lessons, lectures and work meetings all went online. Now that life is slowly returning to normality, we want to use this time to reflect on how this has affected our mental and physical health. Did you have COVID and if so, how did it affect you? How engaged were with you with the vaccine programme? How did you and friends adjust to the new rules regarding social distancing and meeting up in public.

Bath Ethnic Minority Senior Citizen Association (BEMSCA) want to hear about your experiences and views around the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination, and medical services. They're particularly keen to hear from Black and Ethnic Minority students and staff.

BEMSCA has represented the needs of the Black and Ethnic Minority community in BaNES for nearly 30 years. They support more than 180 members through weekly activities at their day service at Fairfield House, supporting people at home, and by working with a broad range of charities, community groups and local specialist care services across the county.

Please note there are three different groups, each lasting an hour. Book your place by choosing your session below.
