About the seminar

The School of Education’s Research Centre for Equity, Inclusion and Community (CREIC) hosts this seminar. The presenters discuss their recent community-based project ‘Disability, Activism and Advocacy’.

The outcomes of fieldwork and art workshops with members of disabled communities that focussed on lived experiences of activism are explored. This strand of work was co-produced under the We Are The People Wellcome Trust funded grant.

About the speakers

Katie Crouch is a Senior Lecturer in Education working across the Early Childhood Studies UK and China Programmes. She collaborated on the Disability, Activism and Advocacy project as a We Are The People Research Fellow.

Annabelle Howard joined the project as a Community Fellow with We Are The People.

Stuart Read is a Research Fellow and Co-investigator for We Are The People.
