British Periodical Online provides access to the searchable full text of hundreds of periodicals from the late seventeenth century to the early twentieth, comprising millions of high-resolution facsimile page images.
Burney Newspaper Collection contains newspapers and news pamphlets gathered by the Reverend Charles Burney (1757 - 1817). They represent the largest single collection of 17th and 18th century English news media.
Dictionary of National Biography the site contains entries on over 50,000 people who shaped history, society and culture from the earliest times to those who died in 2000, including over 10,000 portrait illustrations.
Eighteenth Century Collection this is a collection of about 135,000 eighteenth century printed books with over 26 million scanned pages.
JSTOR provides the full text of some 900 journals via a number of collections.
Oxford Journals Archive this online archive provides access to the full text of 157 Oxford University Press journals to 1995
Project MUSE provides the full text of over 300 journals, with all graphs, charts and images and including the current issues. The Library subscribes to the Humanities and Social Sciences Collections which include journals in culture, film, history, literature, music, politics and religions.
