Teacher training applicants – Bath Spa University

Submitted your application to become a Bath Spa Teacher and wondering what your next steps should be?

Interviews

If your application is successful you’ll be interviewed before you can be offered a place. It is your opportunity to share with us your personal qualities and experiences that will allow us to assess your suitability to teach and identify your personal training needs.

All interviews for our PGCEs and for BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS (5-11 years) are carried out online using MS Teams. A member of academic staff will deliver a degree presentation to all candidates being interviewed that day, ensuring that you have all the information about the course and giving you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. This presentation will then be followed by individual interviews for candidates.

You’ll be expected to carry out tasks in preparation for and during your interview. You’ll be notified of any requirements prior to interview.

Subject Knowledge Enhancement courses (Secondary only)

Entry to some PGCE programmes is conditional upon completion of a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course. These courses run in the year prior to the PGCE programme.
