Mental Health First Aid

Short course

Improve employee well-being and mitigate workplace stress, ensuring long-term success for your team.

    • Improve your mental health literacy around language and stigma.
    • Learn to recognise those that may be experiencing poor mental health and provide them with first-level support and early intervention.
    • Improve your active listening and empathy.

Mental health and burnout are costing the UK economy an estimated £28 billion. Taking part in our Mental Health First Aid course is a key way of making sure that you are prioritising staff mental health. This has wide-reaching benefits, both for your employees and for your company.

Having dedicated Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders®) in your organisation could help to ensure that your team get the help they need before they reach breaking point. During the course you’ll learn to understand the different mental health situations that a person may go through and how to support someone going through a crisis.

In addition to the course, you'll become part of the largest MHFAider® community in England, gaining access to resources, ongoing learning and 24/7 digital support through the MHFAider Support App®, giving you the tools and knowledge you need to carry out your role effectively and confidently.

This course is ideal for staff at every level who would like to become MHFAiders® to gain the knowledge and skills to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health, be confident to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support.
