During this four-day online course, you'll master Agile principles, methodologies and their practical application in your workplace. You’ll need to purchase a copy of BCS Agile from First Principles before starting this course. You'll be able to choose between a physical or digital copy of the text to best suit your learning style. Once you have booked your place, you’ll receive a code for a 20% discount. 

On day four, you’ll sit the British Computer Society (BCS) Foundation exam, which, once passed, qualifies you to receive your BCS Foundation Agile Certificate. You’ll be supported by your tutors with extensive exam preparation and revision materials including mock questions, a mock paper and a revision session.

What you'll do

BCS Foundation Certificate in Agile will be delivered online across four days. 

Whilst Agile was born in the software environment, it has become a universal business tool, therefore this course focuses on its broadest use and will be contextualised to the wider business environment.  

The course will be supported by the BCS-recommended Core Text Agile from First Principles, which you will need to purchase directly from BCS.

What to bring

You'll need a laptop to complete this course. Your device can be either a personal Windows device or a work device. If you're using a work device, you'll need full admin rights. Your device needs enough RAM and memory to support your studies. 

Your device should be able to hold a steady internet connection and be able to download and work with tools such as Microsoft Teams and Figma. You will need to download and install a piece of invigilation software for the BCS exam. 

This course cannot be undertaken on a mobile device. If you use an Apple laptop, it must be at release 13 or higher. 

Before you start your course, it’s important to ensure that your computer is in working order and properly equipped for your course.

Entry requirements

The course is an entry level course but has a high tempo and broad syllabus, so a good grasp of business and project management terminology will aid your learning. The course also contains some independent evening work and reading.

Exam details

The BCS Foundation Certificate in Agile exam is one hour long and is a closed book exam. You'll answer 40 multiple choice questions and must score 65% or higher to pass. The certification is ideal for those looking to solidify their understanding of Agile and apply it effectively in various professional contexts.

Please ensure that you bring photo identification with you on the day of your examination as you will not be allowed to sit the exam without it.

You should have a good understanding of English. If English is your second language, during your exam you’ll be entitled to 25% extra time.

You must complete the exam on a laptop or desktop computer that you have full access to.

This exam cannot be undertaken on a phone or tablet.

You'll be required to download Question Mark Secure to complete this exam.

This course has been designed and will be delivered by Coherent Training, a boutique Agile and project management training and consultancy company.
