Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

CIM is the world’s leading professional marketing body with over 28,000 members worldwide, and a Royal Charter. A number of our Business and Management degrees are CIM accredited.

As a student on these CIM-accredited courses, you also gain access to CIM's Marketing Gateway Programme and while studying for your degree can gain a number of module exemptions towards acquiring a professionally recognised CIM qualification – one of which is equivalent to an additional undergraduate degree

Eligibility

Exemptions from two modules of the CIM Level 4 Professional Certificate in Marketing are available to successful graduates of the following courses:

Students on the above degrees can obtain the CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing by completing just one additional assessment within five years of graduating.

Students on our Marketing degree can obtain module exemptions equating to 180 study credits towards the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing and need to complete just two additional assessments within five years of graduating to obtain this CIM Level 6 qualification, which is equivalent to an undergraduate degree.

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

CIMA, founded in 1919, is the world’s leading and largest professional body of management accountants. Bath Business School has secured professional body recognition of the Business and Management degree, which provides graduates with exemptions from several exams.

Digital Marketing Institute (DMI)

The DMI is the proven global standard for digital marketing certification with 200,000+ members and over 25,000+ certified professionals. We’ve partnered with the DMI to offer Certified Digital Marketing Associate (CDMA) certification.

This means that on successful completion of the Digital Marketing Essentials module in your second year, you’ll obtain certification that shows you've learned the fundamental skills of digital marketing and is recognised by the world’s leading employers including Google, Facebook and Twitter.

The certification is also a great asset to take forward into your search for a work placement (such as if you’re doing a sandwich/placement year) which can give you a head-start in your career on graduation.

Eligibility

Students who successfully complete our Digital Marketing Essentials module (part of the following courses) will gain professional certification – the Certified Digital Marketing Associate (CDMA) – from the DMI. 

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)/SAGE

Bath Business School has partnered with CIMA/SAGE, who produce the UK's market leading accounting software, to offer an excellent grounding in computerised accounting. The qualification offers benchmarked skills that aim to enhance employability and business acumen.

Eligibility

Students who take the core Level 4 Managing Data module to have the option of taking the online test to achieve the CIMA accredited SAGE foundation certificate.

Institute of Hospitality (IoH)

The IoH is an international hospitality professional membership body for managers and aspiring managers who work and study in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. It helps hospitality professionals in 100 countries grow their knowledge, professional profile and expertise by offering a wide range of high quality membership services.

Eligibility

Graduates of the following courses are eligible to apply for the Associate (AIH) grade of membership, and following an assessment may also meet requirements for the member (MIH) grade: 

Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS)

CABS supports its members to maintain world-class standards of teaching and research, and facilitates dialogue between business and government. Bath Business School is a member of CABS, and the Provost of Bath Spa University, Professor Georgina Andrews, is the Vice-Chair of the CABS Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Committee.
