National Student Survey
The National Student Survey (NSS) is an annual UK-wide survey of final year undergraduates.
The NSS provides valuable information from our students about their course and their experience at Bath Spa University. The more Bath Spa University students who participate, the better and more useful the data.
Aimed at final year students, the NSS asks a range of questions about your course experience including teaching quality, learning resources and student voice.
Whether your time at Bath Spa University has been great, or you think some aspects of it could have been better, this is a chance to give your honest views about your experiences and about your course.
Your feedback counts. When students respond to the NSS, we listen.
Thanks to the responses from students like you, we have made improvements to our study support through the academic advisor programme, upgraded learning resources (IT, Wi-fi, software and library access on our campuses) and integrated 24-hour student feedback and voice through the online platform Unitu.
Help us, and help the future you
The NSS is a vital source of invaluable feedback for the University. It helps us to improve the experience for future students, and also provides essential official data for prospective students who are considering higher education.
The data is made public to help inform student choice on the Discover Uni undergraduate course search; anyone considering higher education in the UK can find out what our students thought about each of our courses to help them decide what to study and where.
The 2024 National Student Survey (NSS) has now closed.
Follow your fellow students – they gave their views and gave to charity
For each student who participated in the 2024 NSS, the University donated monies to three local charities.
This raised a total of £2,250 for:
“Bath Mind would like to say a big thank you to Bath Spa University for generously nominating us as part of the National Student Survey campaign. This donation will help to ensure that Bath Mind can continue to provide essential mental health support services to the B&NES community.”

"Bath Cats & Dogs Home is hugely grateful for the support from the Bath Spa University students through the 2024 National Student Survey. It costs us more than £2 million a year to run, covering rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming our animals, so the support means we can continue our work with vulnerable cats and dogs, and continue to transform lives."

"In an emergency, every second counts, every pair of hands makes a difference, and so does every penny. These funds enable us to provide support where it is needed most. Since the start of this conflict, staff and volunteers across the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement have been on the ground, risking – and losing – their lives to provide far-reaching humanitarian and medical care to those in need. We want to thank the students at Bath Spa University for their hard work and dedication to raising vital funds for the British Red Cross' Israel & Occupied Palestinian Territories appeal."
