In February 2022, we explored the LGBT+ History Month theme of "Politics in Art".

We celebrated LGBT+ History Month in February 2022 with an art showcase and social events for our staff and students, as well as a number of events run in collaboration with the Students' Union and local organisations.

14 Feb: LGBT+ Student Mixer

The Students' Union hosted an LGBT+ student mixer with pronoun badge making to welcome students back to campus.

15 Feb: Drag Bingo with Ginger

A fun evening of bingo at the Students' Union, hosted by the one and only Ginger!

We shared the amazing work of our own Bath Spa LGBT+ community at this exhibition at Locksbrook Campus. Exploring personal and social themes, this multimedia collection showcased the artists' own connections to the LGBT+ History Month theme of 'Politics in Art'.

25 Feb: LGBT+ Staff Network Social

An after-work social in Bath, run by Bath Spa+, the Bath Spa Staff LGBT+ Network, and Kaleidoscope, the University of Bath Staff Network.

28 Feb: LGBTQ+ Politics and Art with Fox Fisher

Concluding this year's celebrations, Bath Spa and the University of Bath invited award-winning activist, artist and author Fox Fisher to talk about LGBT+ education, art, politics and the importance of LGBTQ+ storytelling in the media.
