It is an award winning sustainable campus, offering the perfect study and work environment.

At the heart of our strategy is a focus on interdisciplinarity, innovation, and preparing outstanding graduates to contribute to society and the world of work.

The College of Liberal Arts

The College of Liberal Arts was formed last year to aggregate a broad range of disciplines, from Business to Dance and from Digital Media to Psychology, to facilitate the implementation of the University’s strategy. The College brings together around 4,500 students and has an annual turnover of circa £39m. A new Executive Dean is sought who will be pivotal in realising the innovative potential of the College, overseeing wide reaching curriculum review and development, fostering a strong culture of research and scholarship, and seeking to deliver an outstanding student experience.

Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have leadership experience in relevant disciplinary areas as well as strong academic credentials in their own right. A commitment to innovative and interdisciplinary approaches will be key. A proven track record of leading teams and delivering change is a must, as is a collegiate working style, and the ability to provide strong external representation.

We would particularly welcome applicants from women and BME candidates.
