There are various ways to engage with our undergraduate and graduate community to promote your organisation and its opportunities. Throughout the year, we run a number of events for you to come on to campus to meet our students.

What we offer

Careers and opportunities fair

Bookings are now open for our Careers and Opportunities Fair, taking place on Tuesday 17th October 2017.

To request a stand space, please complete our fair booking form.

Early bird rates are available until 15th May 2017.
  • £325 for large organisations (more than 250 employees)/recruitment agencies
  • £200 for SME’s (less than 250 employees)
  • £20 for charities
Please note all prices are exclusive of VAT.

This includes:

  • Your stand space 3m wide x 2m deep, with table and 2 chairs (larger spaces available at extra cost and must be booked in advance);
  • Packed lunch and refreshments for 2 representatives (any extras will be charged at £5 each);
  • 1 parking space per employer and easy access to venue for unloading;
  • Portering and help from student helpers;
  • Standard text in our Fair Programme, and a listing on the event website with a link to your organisation’s website.

Our Careers & Opportunities Fair 2016 attracted over 700 students, as well as 33 local and national employers – including PwC, Clarks, the RAF and Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Feedback from both exhibitors and students was overwhelmingly positive.

Employer in the Foyer

With over 1,000 square metres of learning facilities, the Commons building foyer is a high-footfall, central location in which you can host a stand and promote your opportunities. This drop-in format avoids clashes with lectures and helps to raise brand awareness.

Presentations and employer-led sessions

Share your expertise by running a session on your recruitment process and what it’s like to work in your organisation or run mock interviews or an assessment centre. Not only does this generate interest among our students, it also influences the quality of your future applications.

Sector-specific/networking events

Raise awareness of your industry and the varied pathways within your sector. This will encourage students to decide on a career path. Come and get involved, and network with our students, academics and other similar organisations within your industry.

Targeted emails and communication to students

If you have a graduate role or programme you would like advertised to our students, please get in touch and we will work with you to get the best response from your promotion.

Post a job

If you are looking for a graduate to join your organisation or a student for part-time work, all you need to do is register on our CareerHub portal, upload the details of your vacancy and we'll do the rest, including advising you of the optimum timelines for engaging with our students.

This is a free service to employers and your vacancies will be viewed by all our students and graduates, maximising your opportunity to attract the most talented individuals.
